L'oreal Collection Exclusive Colour Riche Lipsticks
These lipsticks are certainly eye catching when you see walk past that L'oreal stand in Boots and so I really could not resist having a little swatch of some of these gorgeous nudes. As these are fairly new the testers themselves were not that badly beaten up and so I was able to swatch them nicely and choose my favourites. For me Doutzen's was too pale and pink and almost washed out but Freida's was far too dark and would have looked very odd with my skintone. The three I found the best for my fair skin and the shades I liked the most were J Lo's, Julianne's and Eva's. All three are very gorgeous shades with a dark nude tones but also with a slight hint of pink to make them not too dark. I knew I had to buy one and ONLY ONE as I have quite enough lip colours for one person. In the end it came down to the one with the nicest signature. Yes I know a bit strange but I really couldn't decide on which one I wanted. In the end I chose Eva's nude and am very happy with my choice.
The packaging of the product is very nice, I love the signature on the front as it looks very fancy and the casing itself is black and matte so also feels very expensive. The design of the casing is clever with a gold metal hook at the back which not only secures the lid on but adds a very different look to a standard lipstick tube.
I don't know why but the lipstick does have a strong scent and the only thing I can liken it to is parma violets! Those purple fizzy sweets that were often given out at childhood parties, thats the only scent that can match it. It is not an offensive smell but you can taste it when applied on the lips, I'm not sure if all the collection smell like this so if this bothers you maybe check out the whole range just to check.
The Lipsticks formulation glides on really nicely and it's a very creamy texture. This lipstick is very long wearing, I wore it during the day and to a friends house where I had water and some food and the colour only needed slightly topping up.
Overall I'm impressed and would give this a 9/10 I know this will know be a staple nude for me as it works with many different makeup looks including a simple everyday look or a more glamourus evening look. Go check out this nudes collection and the new reds they have released as well at the moment these Lipsticks are retailing in boots for £8.19 which is quite expensive for a drugstore lipstick but they are really worth it, I promise ;)
